Richmond- HB 2039, Virginia Consumer Protection Act; recalled products. Provides that it is a prohibited practice under the Virginia Consumer Protection Act to sell, offer for sale, or manufacture for sale a children's product that the supplier knows or has reason to know was recalled by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

IAQUINTO BILL TO PROTECT CHILDREN FROM SEXUAL PREDATORS PASSES HOUSE UNANIMOUSLY

Richmond - Freshman Delegate, Sal R. Iaquinto (R-84), had another bill successfully pass in the House today regarding parental rights. HB 903 provides for the termination of parental rights and responsibilities of a convicted sexual predator where the child is not in the custody of a local board of social services or a licensed child-placing agency.

IAQUINTO ANTI-GANG BILL PASSES HOUSE

Richmond- HB 901, introduced by Delegate Sal Iaquinto passed unanimously in the House today that brings tougher penalties to individuals convicted of a felony. The bill would allow judges to order, as a condition of probation or parole, that criminals convicted of a felony are prohibited from further association with members of street gangs.
