Challenger Little League Baseball World Jamboree 2006

Virginia resident Jake Hardison came up with the idea to hold a nation-wide event in Hampton Roads for Little League players with disabilities. His concept became the Challenger Little League Baseball World Jamboree. In 2006, over 100 teams from across the country travelled to Hampton Roads for this spectacular event. In support of the World Jamboree event, Delegate Iaquinto codified in Virginia law that the event should take place during the first full week in May preceeding Mother's Day. He also passed a commendation through the General Assembly, honoring the World Jamboree, which Sal presented at the opening ceremonies on May 11, 2006.
